Estelle Berger is a Clinical and Developmental Psychology doctoral student at the University of Oregon, and joined the Ballmer Institute in September 2022 as a Graduate Teaching Fellow assisting with the graduate sequence for educators. In her research, Estelle focuses on how features of the neighborhood environment play a role in well-being, neurodevelopment, and mental health during adolescence. She is also investigating how families are experiencing the effects of climate change and environmental degradation in the United States. As a clinician, Estelle works primarily with children, teens, and parents in the community. Prior to beginning her Ph.D. program, Estelle earned a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from Brown University, a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Oregon.
