Kate joined the Ballmer Institute in August 2023 as an Academic and Career Advisor. In her role, she supports current and prospective students interested in Children’s Behavioral Health. She is available to help students develop academic plans, find resources, and plan their professional journeys. Prior to working at the University of Oregon, Kate supported students as a teaching assistant, mentor, and mentor program leader with a focus on creating a welcoming community. Kate's student support work is guided by principles of equity and inclusion. Kate was raised in Portland, Oregon and attended University in Canada. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Master of Science in Management from Queen’s University. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking with her dog and loves knitting on rainy days.
