The Ballmer Institute for Children’s Behavioral Health offers a bold and transformative model to promote behavioral health and wellness of Oregon’s youth. The Institute brings together Clinical, Tenure-Track, and Affiliated faculty, develops new degree programs, and creates a new class of mental health professionals trained from a transdisciplinary perspective, bringing together university strength from the College of Education and the College of Arts and Science’s Psychology Department. The Institute has been created as an academic, degree granting unit within the Office of the Provost and was made possible by a transformational lead gift from Connie and Steve Ballmer of Ballmer Group Philanthropy in 2022.
