Michele Morales serves as the Clinical Partnership Liaison for the Ballmer Institute. In this role, Michele develops and supports clinical training opportunities for Children's Behavioral Health undergraduate students.
Prior to joining the Ballmer Institute, Michele was a Field Faculty member and Southern Oregon MSW Program Coordinator for Portland State University's School of Social Work. She is passionate about educational access and the intentional cultivation of school-community collaborations that impel learning for all involved.
Michele began her career in addiction services, working in detox, outpatient, prevention, and research. Prior to PSU, she worked as the Addiction Services Manager for Jackson County Health and Human Services. She helped found the Collegiate Recovery Program (CORE) at Southern Oregon University and has written numerous grants to support creative approaches to health access, substance abuse prevention, and mental health promotion.
Michele holds a Master in Social Work and PhD in American Culture from the University of Michigan.
