Congratulations to our trailblazing graduates!

The 2026 Ballmer Institute Commencement Ceremony, celebrating the first-ever child behavioral health graduates, is Friday, June 12, at 10:00 a.m., at the University of Oregon Portland. The ceremony will be livestreamed on YouTube.

The University of Oregon Commencement Ceremony is Monday, June 19, at 9:00 a.m. at Autzen Stadium in Eugene. To RSVP to the ceremony or to learn more, visit the UO Commencement website.

Graduate Commencement Checklist

To participate in the Ballmer Institute Commencement Ceremony, graduates will need to take the steps outlined below.

Before the Ceremony

Step 1: Apply for your degree.
This is a required step for participating in commencement.  
Apply for graduation on DuckWeb by April 26, 2026. If you have questions about applying for your degree or missed your application date, email cbhadvising@uoregon.edu

Step 2: RSVP to the ceremony.
This is a required step for participating in commencement.  
RSVPs are currently closed. If you have already RSVP'd, you will receive an email confirming the number of guest tickets allowed.

Participating in the UO Commencement Ceremony in Eugene? You will need to submit a separate RSVP.

Step 3: Order your regalia.
This step is optional.
Visit The Duck Store to purchase your cap, tassel, gown, cords, announcements and other memorabilia. A Ballmer Institute stole will be provided to all 2026 graduates, free of charge. Detailed information about regalia was shared with graduating students. If you have questions about regalia, contact ballmerinstitute@uoregon.edu.  


 

Day of Ceremony

Step 4. Check in at Portland Library & Learning Center.
Arrive at the UO Portland campus at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, June 12, in your regalia to check in. The check-in table will be just inside the entrance to the Library and Learning Center, in the Alumni Atrium. Give the check-in staff your name to get your name card, which you will hand to the name reader at the podium before you walk across the stage. 
Staff will direct you to the staging area in the first-floor tiered classroom beginning at 9:40 a.m. before the ceremony begins promptly at 10:00 a.m. 


 

After the Ceremony

Step 5: Purchase photos from GradImages.
You should receive an email from GradImages with options for purchasing ceremony photos, or you can search for your name on the GradImages website

Step 6: Get your diploma.
You will be handed an empty diploma cover during the ceremony. You’ll receive your official diploma in the mail about six weeks after commencement or after you complete your degree requirements.

Parking and Accessibility

There are multiple parking options available on campus. The parking lot located between the field and the Portland Library & Learning Center is the most convenient option for ceremony access. On the day of the event, this lot will not require a permit and is available at no cost. 

An accessible route, including a ramp from the parking area to the building entrance, is available. If you have questions regarding accessibility, contact ballmerinstitute@uoregon.edu

Photography

Professional photographers from GradImages will be in attendance at the Ballmer Institute commencement ceremony. Photographs will be available for purchase following the event on the GradImages website

Commencement is a public event, and photography and videography will take place throughout the ceremony. By attending, guests acknowledge that they may appear in event photos or videos. Guests who prefer not to be photographed are encouraged to be mindful of camera locations and may choose seating or positioning that reduces the likelihood of appearing in photographs or videos.

Livestream

Can’t make it to the ceremony? The Ballmer Institute commencement ceremony will be livestreamed on Youtube. 

The link to the livestream will be shared on this webpage on the day of the ceremony.

UO Commencement Ceremony

The main University of Oregon Commencement Ceremony is separate from the Ballmer Institute ceremony and will be held in Eugene at Autzen Stadium at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 16, 2026.
