Mary Kuckertz, Ph.D. (she/her), is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Ballmer Institute. Her research focuses on implementation and prevention science, with an emphasis on bringing evidence-based interventions to children and families in real-world settings. She is particularly interested in strengthening connections between researchers, policymakers, and community partners so that research is responsive to the needs of the communities and systems it is intended to serve.
Mary earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Arizona State University. Her doctoral research examined multilevel factors that influence the implementation of preventive parenting interventions. She completed her predoctoral clinical internship at Child and Family Guidance Center in Los Angeles County, where she provided community mental health services in English and Spanish to children and families. Outside of work, Mary can often be found at the dog park with her four-legged son, baking something new, or decorating for the next holiday.
