Emily joined the Ballmer Institute in Fall 2026 as Clinical Training Program Coordinator. Her career has been dedicated to improving families’ quality of life by increasing community access to compassionate, evidence-based support services and treatment providers, and she is thrilled to support the Ballmer Institute’s mission as a member of its team.
Prior to her current role, Emily worked with the University of Washington’s College of Education as a teaching associate and fieldwork supervisor for graduate students earning practicum hours as behavioral support specialists in community-partnered sites including schools, clinics and early intervention programs. She also founded a therapy services company specializing in play-based and neurodiversity-affirming behavioral support for children with autism diagnoses and their families, serving as its Director of Operations from 2019 to 2026.
Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Lewis & Clark College and a Master of Education in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Washington. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
